Menu’s are done. I can now change the volume, skins, language, and start a new game via the menu dialog. non-owners can’t set the volume. This way, anyone can walk up to the game and try it out at the moment.
I got a simple PA system setup to broadcast messages sent to it. The game […]

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

I was browsing over at the SL Developers community site. I came across a file that Cristiano Midnight posted called SL Clothes Previewer. This software, created by Johan Durant, allows you to preview your clothing and skin textures on an avatar mesh.

You can do this with with the Second Life client, but the preview window […]

Categorized Menus

Monday, October 30th, 2006

I got a few more things done with the big wheel. I now have a categorized menu system to change languages and start a new game. I’ve started working on volume control, and skins on the menu.

I also got a configuration file setup so that bonus amounts can be adjusted. I found some detailed rules […]

Second Life Herald - Access at last

Sunday, October 29th, 2006

I had been aware that there is a tabloid called Second Life Herald for some time now.  From everything I had heard, they usually talk about the negative side of Second Life.  I could not confirm nor deny this, and even refused to put a link to it on my blog because I could not […]

I picked up some more multi-gadgets today. I found something over at the warehouse called PixelTrix MDS Media Laptop. I headed on over to the landmark to find more information about it.

I ran into a giant scavenger hunt on the PixelTrix sim that the landmark took me to. There are 100 items scattered accross the […]

I got an update for my money tree today. I hadn’t seen an update since I purchased my money tree many months ago. This one has a lot of changes.
First, there are some new rules in place before a newbie can pick money. Be default, a newbie must have payment info on file. […]

Texturing

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

I got more sides mapped on my big wheel. I am down to just two prims that need fine adjusting for textures. Those are the pointer and the part that holds it out to the wheel. I created a watermelon skin as well, influenced by Torley.

The main producer who is going to host the main […]

Take It or Leave It

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

Tonight I played a game called Take it or Leave it. The game is based on a television game show called “Deal or No Deal”. I saw a bit of it once during some channel surfing, but that is the most I ever knew about this game.
So over at bucket beach, I was picked from […]

Textures in action!

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

The voyage of texture mapping continues. I’ve setup my game to switch texture maps on its own. I have half a mind to go ahead an make a Torley mod and let people spin the big mellon.
I’ve seperated more code from the rules. One of these sections is specific for dialog interaction. My rules are […]
